    I brought my car in with several engine codes (catalytic converter, O2 sensors, and misfires) and no power/acceleration I told them I replaced spark plugs on the front bank, and found oil on a spark plug. So I also replaced the plug seals and valve cover gasket. That may have fixed the misfire but still no power. And I don't know how to diagnose the sensors or cat. They said let's replace the other valve cover gasket, spark plugs, and plug seals. When they called me to say they finished they said "you can come get the car but we noticed it has no power"

    I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your service. After reading your review, I did some research and found that the estimate and first repair were done on 5-05-2025 cust was informed we have to fix miss fire before we can move forward with a cat diagnosis after tune and leaking valve cover was replaced we looked into cat repair finding dealer parts were obsolete we checked aftermarket cat and cust was given est of which he declined. please call with any questions

    I can’t say enough good things about Dave’s auto repair. It was late afternoon on a Friday and I was on a road trip passing through Hesperia when my alternator decided to die on me. So I called around to see if I could get any local auto shop to help me out. After several calls without any luck I was beginning to lose hope until I reached Dave’s. They told me to bring it on down and they’ll see what they can do. So I pull in and my vehicle literally quits on their lot. I am blown away with what happens next. Tony and his staff get to work on it right away. They find a replacement alternator in town within a few minutes, just in case they need to replace it. Then they get to work finding out the problem, which turns out to be a blown alternator caused by a newly attached RV I was towing. They even let me know they were going stay after hours to make sure they could get me back on the road. Wow!!! And that is exactly what they did. They replaced my alternator and had me operational again an hour after their closing time on a Friday night! What a place! I can’t thank these guys enough. They truly got me out of a Jam! I just want to say thank you again to Tony and the staff down at Dave’s auto repair. Few places on earth would go above and beyond the way these guys did. If I‘m ever in your area again, hopefully I can buy you guys a round at Gators.

    I brought in our 2008 Tundra for repair on the intake system and clearing the engine/maintenance lights. The whole process from start to finish was easy and fast. I was actually expecting it to take a few days longer to complete. To my surprise our truck was done a couple of days sooner. They are definitely a shop that I feel comfortable recommending to others and sending my wife and daughter to for repairs on their vehicles. They're open and straight forward in explaining what has to be done. I felt they were honest and fair in their pricing and feel satisfied with the work they did. Please don't get this shop confused with other places that will take advantage just to make an extra dollar or two. The next time I/we have a problem with our vehicles, this shop will be be our first choice. Thanks again for the service y'all provided.

    I went in to get some work done on my car and they told me things were wrong that simply weren't. They said I needed parts I didn't need, overcharged me on the price of said parts (had me expecting to pay hundreds more than I did at a local auto parts store), and overall it seemed they were just trying to pull a fast one. I have many trained mechanics in my family and I myself am knowledgeable when it comes to cars, I just didn't have much time, but it felt like they looked at me and because I was young tried to scam me.

    I had a broken splash guard after driving on flooded roads. I read all the great reviews about Dave's Automotive Repair and called to get info on a repair. I was able to get in immediately and they repaired my splash guard within 15 minutes with new clips and I was on my way. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Great customer service. I will be returning to have my door handles repaired. Timothy was very helpful and prices were very good. I highly recommend this repair shop and will return whenever I need my car serviced.

    The wife's fuel pump died in her Durango. I'm a mechanic but I just didn't have the time to do the job it's about a 4 hour job. Tony and his crew handled it and in a very timely manner didn't really want to spend that much money but it is what it is thanks again for your prompt service Durango is running great.

    I took my Cadillac SRX to Dave's for a four wheel alignment. I asked for reports showing the wheel alignment of the vehicle both before and after alignment which they gladly provided. The work was done promptly by appointment. When I later studied the results I found the front to be in specification, but the rear Toe was not, a major concern as Toe is the key contributor to tire wear. After bringing this to their attention they made a new appointment to correct the problem. As it turned out GM had implemented a redesign of the Toe control Rod that I had been install by a local dealer. After discussion with Tony, Dave's Auto owner, he shared with me the changes, even taking me to the shop and showing me the design. He had not seen this design and was not sure how the suggested alignment procedure by GM would but was happy to give it a try. After sharing the results which showed the alignment met GM specs perfectly I thanked him for the extra effort that was performed at no cost. I will not hesitate to return to Dave's Auto repair in the future as I found them to be very competent, seeming honest with fair pricing, and performed their work as promised. The only reason I do not give them five stars is that they did not explain why the first alignment was not to spec.

    After picking my car up at Matson shipping, I was driving it from Long Beach to Vegas when I noticed my car had a burnt rubber smell coming from somewhere. I pulled over to see if I noticed anything stuck to a wheel or the undercarriage but didn't. I googled auto-repair shops in the area & saw the great reviews Dave's had so decided to drive there instead of risking serious damage to my car by continuing to drive. I obviously didn't have an appointment but after explaining my situation, Timothy took my car right back for an inspection. He called me out after he & another gentleman looked at it and said other than some oil on the undercarriage (but no leak) it was probably just the strain of not being driven for a month then driving up steep inclines in the area. They said it was safe to drive and sent me on my way with a word of caution for the wet road conditions since it was raining. I was so surprised they didnt charge anything even though they took the time to put my car on a rack & check inside and under the hood areas. If I'm ever in Hesperia again & need auto help, I'm going to back to Dave's!

I should have taken my car here instead of wasting my time at Subaru the damage might have been less but I’m grateful for the work they did and how everyone was really nice and helpful. If I need anything else fixed or if I’m concerned about my car I’ll always come here to get help now.

    Been bringing my cars here since 2016, Phil’s a great guy as well Tony and the rest of the crew. Just had my car in recently for an AC Service Inspection and found a Blend Door issue. Driver side vents were blowing hot air while the passenger side was blowing cold. They had it fixed right away and now both sides blow cold air like before. “Great work as always fellas!”

    This was a very good experience. We were looking for an automotive shop that we could trust, the guys were honest with me.     I believe that there a good shop. They had to troubleshoot the problem with the AC and the problem wasn’t resolved, so I brought it back in this morning and they finally figured out. It was the compressor on the air condition so that was a good thing.

    They were amazing! We had already spent a hour at a nearby Juffy Lube, when the manager there had informed me, he won't be able to get my suburban worked on till the next morning. Ugh!! One of the mechanics at Jiffy Lube had recommended Dave's auto and we headed right over. They got us in right away were clear on what needed to be done and quoted us a $200 less than Jiffy Lube. I absolutely trust those guys and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Tony took the time to research our difficult issue and explain his findings and give his honest mechanics opinion on possible causes and how he would approach it. He referred me to someone who he thought may be the best versed on what is likely to be a complicated electrical issue to diagnose with this intermittent problem on our 2010 vehicle. Unlike other shops I’ve tried in the past—where the solution always seems to be the most expensive one—Dave’s only recommends what truly needs to be done or what you specifically ask for.     I took my truck there for an oil change, they found a leak that we couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. They told me my power steering pump was the cause, ordered the part and took it in for repair. They called with great news, turns out a clamp on the hose just needed to be tightened!     Ive been coming to Daves Auto Repair for a year now and im grateful to have found people i trust to work on my cars and do it right. They look over my car and always tell me if they find something wrong even if its something completely different for why i brought it in. I am not financially stable and they have been very accommodating to the time i make payments and the amount but thats because they trust ill come back lol. Very friendly and good environment overall. My only criticism is once they accidentally broke my fuel line while working on my car however; they were SUPER apologetic and fixed it for free asap. They always make it right and treat you like a human being not just a customer. They respect your safety and want your car to run well!

    I have a 2018 F150 (126k miles) and I had the check engine light come on, popping codes regarding the evap emissions control system. This was after taking my truck to different local shop, twice in a month, popping all the same codes both times and the codes still came back. Dave's Automotive Repair diagnosed the issue in a day and said they could have it back to me the next day. The other shop replaced a part on my truck that was for the same model but different year. It took the other shop several days to get this part and then another several days before I got to take it home, both times! Dave's shop kept me informed of everything they were doing before hand and even sent me pictures of the incorrect part right when it was removed. They had the truck back to me the next day, keeping to their word, and gave me the incorrect part after I asked them to hold onto it for me. I've driven over 2k miles since then and no check engine lights! I didn't drive more than 20 miles before the lights came back after both visits to the first shop. I will be taking my truck back to Dave's in the future if I ever need to and I plan to bring or will recommend any of my friend's/ family's vehicles there also. Thank you Dave's Automotive Repair.

    My car had a blockage at the thermostat and wanted to overheat after a short driving distance. Dave's Automotive fixed it so quickly and for less than $300. Another mechanic told me it was likely my head was "warped" and he could fix it for $4000!! His head was warped if he thought I'd fall for that garbage.     I recently had a problem with an exhaust leak after they replaced one of the catalyst on my 05 Jeep Rubicon . So I called Dave's they told me to bring it in so they could check it out. Turns out the exhaust leak was due to the the exhaust pipe rubbing against the drive shaft. They fixed it and now my Jeep is running great again . 👍🏻👍🏻

    We broke down on Cajon Pass on a holiday weekend on our way home to Bishop . My husband called the shop & Phil said we can get it towed there.     This is the only shop you should do business with. I called in and let them know I needed a new alternator, the cost would have been about $550+ once they got under the hood they found out it was just a serpentine belt that needed to be replaced. They charged me $200 for everything, that’s integrity. I can’t say that another shop wouldn’t have just taken the extra $350 and replaced the alternator knowing it was just the belt.

    They just charged me a fortune of money and did not get to the bottom of the problem. I took my vehicle to get fixed two times early August 2022, and left with it running exactly the same. The third time I took my vehicle in, I was given an estimate for what they thought would fix the problem. According to them I was going to get charged almost $300 for one fuel injector, another couple bucks for other "parts", and almost $400 for the labor of removing and replacing the fuel injector, with a total of $792. With all the money I had already invested, plus this estimate I was quite astonished. I did my research and found out that the fuel injector is worth only $60, which I ended up buying myself. I finally lost trust on them and took my truck to another repair shop and got it fixed right away for only $80. My truck has been running great since. To say the least, I am really disappointed with this facility. The customer service was always great, all the employees, including the owner were always so nice to me. Therefore I was blindfolded, and trusted their service 100%. I will not be returning as a customer, I do wish though they consider my experience so their future clients don't go through my dissatisfaction.

    Bro Phil is the guy he’s worked on my truck previously and my Mazda In 2018 and both times prior he has killed it and my truck has ran beautifully since so I know he does good work and could find out what was wrong with my truck after I had some one replace the heater core long story short just take your car to Dave’s and ask for Phil he found and replaced the wires that were shorted and he replaces the key reader that was damaged and not only did he do that he also got me a extra key with code for my truck and he did it all in a timely manner and great service all around easy pick up and payment and he did it at a great price will return and recommend have been here three times and it is the most consistent shop for A+ repairs

    I have been using Daves for 2 years now. During this time i have had my Saturn in for an intermitent stalling problem and each time they performed a diagnostic and adjustment and each time the problem still exists. Today i was in for a smog check and my Saturn passed, but before the test my car stalled a number of times and the mechanic asked if i knew about the problem.,i replied i knew about it and they should. Needless to say nothing was done about the stalling but i was asked if i wanted it checked out, i give up.

    I called this place for the first time and they said they could see me and work on my car today. I asked them to change my front brakes and after they changed them they asked me if I wanted them to check my back brakes for free.

    Stay far away from this place my car had a timing chain issue instead of pushing the car out of the shop they try driving it out idk how these mechanics can be so dumb.
